Richard has claimed that he went to great lengths to conceal the identity of the real stalker and has begged fans not to search for her.
However, just last week, a law graduate named Fiona Harvey has spoken out, claiming that fans of the show has accused her of stalking Gadd in real life.
Fiona Harvey bio
Fiona Harvey is a 58-year-old law graduate from Fyvie, Aberdeenshire, who recently spoke about fans accusing her of stalking Gadd. According to Fiona, she first met Gadd years ago when he worked as a bartender at The Hawley Arms in London’s Camden. While admitting that the pair became friends and she even gifted him a pair of “tartan M&S pants” once to congratulate him on one of his comedy shows, she has outrightly denied stalking him. She has since vowed to sue streaming giant Netflix
Fiona also shared about how she first came to know about the show after Gadd took it to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival as a one-man show. She stated:
He’s come up with this character called Martha and he has put me right in the frame. This is a programme for the 20-somethings. The people with no lives, no jobs, whatever. I don’t want to be a celebrity.”
Baby Reindeer series summary
Baby Reindeer is a drama that follows character named Martha (Jessica Gunning) who becomes obsessed with Donny Dunn (Richard Gadd). It is a seven-part series and starts off by showing Gadd’s character, Donny, who works behind a bar while struggling to find success as a comic. While on his job one day, an emotional woman Martha, walks in and Donny offers her a free cup of tea when she says she has no money.
Martha eventually reveals that she is a lawyer and seemingly has something to hide. Martha starts to grow a scary obsession for Donny, and in the coming episodes, she starts sending thousands of emails and texts and affectionately starts calling him ‘Baby Reindeer’. The series features several dark twists and turns, showing Donny’s own past trauma, as well as confronting Martha’s demons.
Ever since its release on Netflix, the show has become a huge breakout, garnering millions of viewers worldwide. The show has in fact topped the chart in over thirty countries and even won praise from Stephen King, the undisputed master of horror and bestselling author.

Unsurprisingly, ‘Baby Reindeer’ creator and star Richard Gadd has urged fans and viewers not to look for the real-life Martha. He wrote on social media:
People I love, have worked with, and admire… are unfairly getting caught up in speculation. Please don’t speculate on who any of the real-life people could be. That’s not the point of our show. Lots of love, Richard.”
