He was Sajid Mir.
In 2005, he visited India using a fake name, attended India-Pak ODI in Mohali & did rekey of Taj Hotel in Mumbai.
He was mastermind of 26/11 attacks.
He also planned terror plots in USA, France, Australia & Denmark.

This happened after he was imprisoned as a result of a court sentence meant to boost Pakistan’s reputation in advance of a FATF review. His hospitalization raises concerns about Pakistan’s connections between intelligence, the military, and terrorists.
However, allegedly on ventilator support due to perceived threats, this move might be a tactic to avoid international pressure for action against him. Sajid Mir, who was previously imprisoned for funding terrorism, is said to have been hospitalized unexpectedly in order to avoid being extradited to the United States, where he is wanted and has a hefty prize.
According to US DOJ records, he is known to have changed his appearance after the attack and was heavily involved in the assailants’ coordination during the Mumbai attacks. Who is Sajid Mir?
Sajid Mir is a notorious global terrorist based in Pakistan. He has been in the news because he was recently hospitalized at a Pakistani hospital unexpectedly after alleged poisoning.
He is a senior member of the Pakistan-based Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT). Mir is wanted for his alleged role in the November 2008 Mumbai terror attacks. Due to this, he is one of India’s most wanted terrorists. The US is offering a $5 million reward for information that led to his apprehension in relation to the 26/11 Mumbai attacks.
A Pakistani anti-terrorism court sentenced Sajid Mir to more than 15 years in prison in a case involving the funding of terrorism as of June 2022. Interestingly, Pakistani officials earlier claimed that Mir had died, but Western countries continued to be skeptical and demanded solid proof.
Earlier this year, China obstructed efforts to label Mir as a “global terrorist” at the UN, drawing criticism from India for what was perceived as a lack of genuine commitment to combat terrorism. Later, India and the US jointly proposed on June 20, 2023, to place Mir on a blacklist under UN Security Council Resolution 1267, which imposes sanctions on al Qaeda.
Sajid Mir is said to be in his mid-40s.
