Mexican-American Drug lord, Edgar Valdez Villareal, alias La Barbie whereabouts left everyone confused as the notorious drug trafficker is “not currently in federal custody” of the Federal Bureau of Prisons, know his age, height, wife and family
As per a report by CNN, the Federal Bureau of Prisons has revealed that the drug dealer’s name is “not in BOP custody” on the agency’s website.

As per the outlet, the spokesperson of the agency, Benjamin O’Cone declined to provide any further detail or explanation on the matter as he stated there are “several reasons” for this situation.
In his statement, Benjamin revealed that, “There are a number of reasons why an inmate may be listed as ‘not in the custody of the Bureau of Prisons’.”
Meanwhile, the Mexican Attorney General’s Office and Secretariat of Foreign Affairs, both have reportedly revealed to EL PAÍS that they don’t have any “knowledge of La Barbie’s legal situation.”
Let us remind you, the La Barbie is supposed to be serving his sentence according to which he is supposed to be behind bars until 2056.
As of now the US Embassy in Mexico has not made any official comment on the matter.
Who’s La Barbie?
For those who are unfamiliar with La Barbie, let us tell you, he is a former drug lord and high ranking lieutenant of Beltrán Leyva Cartel, which is now disbanded.
The former drug dealer was born and raised in Laredo, Texas and was quite ‘popular’ in high school.
At the time, he was known with his infamous nickname Ken doll, as according to his football coach he resembled a doll with his blonde hair and blue eyes.
He was first arrested in Texas for running over a middle school counselor with his truck while speeding when he was 19.
He was charged with criminally negligent homicide. However he wasn’t indicated.
Later, when he was still a linebacker for his high school football team he became a street drug dealer.
In one of his trials the prosecutor seemed to be saying that La Barbie “climbed the ranks to become a high-ranking member of the Beltran Leyva gang.”
It was the time when his gang leader was associated with Joaquin “El Chapo” Guzman and with the Sinaloa Cartel.
He was eventually nabbed by Mexican police in August 2010. He was one of those 13 who were extradited to the US from Mexico in September 2015 to face their criminal charges.
Back in June 2018, the former lord was sentenced to 49 years in the US federal prison by the Court. The 49 year old has a height of 5 feet inches. He was born in Texas and has six sisters. In 2006, when Barbie turned 33, he staged his “wedding” to Priscilla Montemayor, the 17-year-old daughter of one of his partners.
