The mom of second-round pick CJ Stroud, Kimberly Stroud, garnered a lot of attention during the NFL lockout, here is all you need to know about her
C.J. Stroud was the talk of the town before the 2023 NFL Draft and has been constantly in the news since the start of the offseason.
On Thursday night, the Ohio State quarterback was the centre of attention on the red carpet of the Draught in Kansas.

Prior to the Houston Texans selecting Stroud at No. 3, he was pictured with his sister Ciara and mother Kimberley Stroud, who were both in attendance at the main event.
Who is Kimberly Stroud?
Kimberly worked with the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Office for a number of years.
She is the mother of C.J. and the other three kids.
However, when C.J.’s father, Coleridge, was found guilty in 2015 on several counts, her life took a turn for the worse. CJ’s father, Coleridge, served as a pastor at the Life Application Christian Center, headquartered in Rancho Cucamonga, LA.
Coleridge had previously completed a six-year sentence at Folsom State Prison in California. He will be eligible for release in 2024 when he turns 74.
Coleridge put Kimberly Stroud in a difficult situation because she had trouble financially supporting their four children.
She worked as a property manager in various locations, frequently moving the family into smaller homes.
She eventually had to decide between accepting a job operating a storage facility and facing eviction from a condo unit.
With the ability to live above the facility’s office thanks to her new employment, Kimberly was able to provide her family with the necessary life balance.
The fact that Kimberly always put her family first led to her son becoming an NFL quarterback.

C.J. Stroud talked about his sister’s unwavering support and his mother’s enormous sacrifices in order to fulfil his dream of playing football on the NFL Draught’s red carpet:
My mom, she had to play both roles for a while, both mother and father. And my sister has been nothing but supportive through everything, through thick and thin. So I’m super blessed to have a mother like I do. She’s beautiful. That’s where I get my looks from.”
He further continued:
My sister is also beautiful, very tall and gorgeous, so I’m blessed enough to have great women in my life.”
Kimberly Stroud confessed that she would be worried for her child on draft night.
Kimberly is the Stroud family’s franchise quarterback, and only time will tell if the Houston Texans have also found their franchise player.
