As per the news release from the US Department of Justice, a Michigan man named Kenneth Pilon admitted to committing a hate crime after intimidating proponents of the Black Lives Matter movement. He left handwritten notes around his community.

He instructed Starbucks staff members who answered his calls to specifically racial threats to the employees of Starbucks wearing the t-shirts of Black Lives Matter. He pleaded guilty to count 1 of the filed information and Pilon vowed to kill Black people all around.

Who Is Kenneth Pilon?

Kenneth Pilon is an optometrist from Saginaw, Michigan. Pilon was found guilty of 2 hate crimes after fostering his racist ideologiesย and also threatening to harm the individuals associated with the movement of Black Lives Matter.

Kenneth Pilon got motivated by these ideas of racism, he then spent a summer day calling several Starbucks locations for expressing his desire to see minorities murdered.

This 62-year-old, entered a guilty plea to 2 counts of violating federally protected activities which were held on Monday, 12th of December when Pilon appeared before the U.S. District Magistrate Judge Patricia T. Morris. Prosecutors agreed to drop four further charges of the similar charge in exchange.

The offense is having around one-year prison sentence, also a fine of $100,000 and one year of supervised release. Kenneth Pilon’s sentencing guidelines haven’t yet been confirmed and determined, although the prosecutors advise that Kenneth Pilon serve a 10-month term.
