Author Neil Gaiman has publicly addressed the abuse allegations against him in a blog post called “Breaking the Silence”.
The allegations against Neil Gaiman had circulated online for months. Gaiman has now responded to clarify his stance and defend his reputation.
Gaiman categorically denied engaging in any non-consensual s*xual activity. According to The Sandman author, the relationships being discussed were entirely consensual. He claims to have reviewed past messages exchanged with the women involved.

Among the accusers is Scarlett Pavlovich, who used to babysit his son with his second wife Amanda.
“These messages read now as they did when I received them – of two people enjoying entirely consensual s*xual relationships and wanting to see one another again. At the time I was in those relationships, they seemed positive and happy on both sides,” Gaiman wrote.
On November 10, 1960, 64-year-old Neil Richard Gaiman was born in Portchester, Hampshire. He is 5ft 10in tall. Gaiman received his education in a number of Church of England institutions, such as Whitgift School in Croydon (1974–1977), Ardingly College (1970–1974), and Fonthill School in East Grinstead.
Gaiman’s father, David Bernard Gaiman, worked in a chain of stores and his mother, Sheila Gaiman, was a pharmacist. Neil also has two siblings Claire and Lizzy.
Then seven-year-old Gaiman was compelled to leave Fonthill School and return to the school he had previously attended due to his father’s work as a Church of Scientology public relations official.

She was married to Neil Gaiman for 11 years before their divorce was finalized in 2022 and they share one child together, Anthony “Ash” Palmer Gaiman who was born in 2015. She and her son spend their time between New York City, Woodstock and Boston, Massachusetts.
Gaiman’s family has Ashkenazi and Polish-Jewish ancestry. Before 1914, Neil’s great-grandfather left Antwerp for England, and his grandfather settled in Portsmouth, Hampshire, on the country’s south coast.
He started a chain of supermarkets there, changing the family name from Chaiman to Gaiman.
Neil’s father, David Bernard Gaiman, was a British businessman who led the Church of Scientology’s UK chapter.
Talking about his religious belief Neil had previously said, “I’d say, I’m a Jewish Scientologist” and had said that he is not a Scientologist, and that like Judaism, Scientology is his family’s religion. About his personal views, Gaiman has stated, “I think we can say that God exists in the DC Universe” to allude towards being an atheist.
