Kaylee Gain has bleeding and swelling in her brain. Two GoFundMe pages are collecting money to help her family pay for medical bills. Kaylee is still in critical condition. One of the GoFundMe pages mentioned that they don’t know how much damage Kaylee’s brain has until she wakes up. The family is facing a tough road ahead, both emotionally and financially.
Age 16 Gain is in critical condition with traumatic injuries, including brain bleeding and swelling but is currently alive.
“We will not know the extent of the brain damage that has occurred until she wakes up,” read one GoFundMe account, “but the path to recovery will be extremely hard on the family, not only mentally but financially.”

In a video that spread widely online, a girl repeatedly slammed Kaylee’s head into the ground. Kaylee’s parents are with her at the hospital all the time.

A grandparent confirmed that both GoFundMe pages are real and will help cover Kaylee’s medical expenses and her parents’ lost income. One GoFundMe page has collected more than $125,000.
The police arrested 15-year-old black girl and volleyball girl Maurnice Declue on Saturday for assault. They’re holding her at the St. Louis County Family Court.
John O’Sullivan from St. Louis County Courts revealed that it’s too early to decide if the suspect will be treated as an adult. A court hearing will happen in a few weeks to decide.
