For the first time, Kavitha Reddy talked about her termination and described it as “completely unfair.” This occurred one month after Curro Academy Protea Glen in Soweto fired a Black English and History teacher who was called a monkey by the white executive head last year.

Kavitha Reddy was brought out before a disciplinary hearing and found guilty of misbehaviour, according to media reports. She was prosecuted for the event that happened on February 16, 2023, in a Grade 11 class. Her actions were deemed “unbecoming of an educator” in front of the other students in the class.
Kavitha Reddy began her career in February 2010 as a science educator for South Africa Education Department. She served there for 10 years 11 months. In January 2021, she joined Curro Holdings and worked with them for 2 years 3 months. In March 2023, she was announced the Director of KH Academic Solutions.
In January 2024, she became a part of Gauteng Department of Education. She got her degree of a medical a scientist from the University of KwaZulu-Natal. She lives in Gauteng, South Africa.
According to reports from last month, Nonkululeko Gwatyu who was dubbed a monkey by a former Curro Academy Protea Glen department head was fired for arriving late.

One user mentioned that all of his teachers were meant to be fired continuously for months if Curro was truly dismissing Kavitha Reddy for calling a student an idiot at that time.
