Katie McLaughlin filed a lawsuit alleging that Subway knew and also failed to report that Jared Fogle was a pedophile for more than 10 years before he was convicted of the crime by police.

The lawsuit, filed by McGlaughlin and the couple’s two children, claimed Subway had been told at least three times that Fogle was sexually attracted to and had exploited children but the international sandwich franchise ignored the complaints, the suit alleges, and instead promoted Fogle as a family man and sent him to speak with children as part of the company’s educational initiatives.
He pleaded guilty in November 2015 to child porn and sex with a minor and was sentenced to more than 15 years in federal prison.

Jared Fogle who is the husband of Katie McLaughlin was convicted for having sex with minors and he was distributing child pornography content. He was sentenced to a prison of over 15 years and 8 months at federal prison based in Colorado.
Katie’s lawsuit also claims that the company continued promoting Jared despite knowing he was deeply interested in children for using them sexually and ignored multiple allegations. Fogle became Subway’s Colorado in 2000 after claiming the deli sandwiches helped him to lose over 200 pounds.
Subway paid him more than $15 million during this time, while Subway’s American sales crossed $3.1 billion to $11.5 billion. In 2004, Subway’s vice president received a complaint that Fogle have also approached a young girl about a sex act at a promotional event for Subway in Las Vegas.
In 2008, Cindy Mills, who is a Subway franchise owner based in Florida, notified Subway CEO via phone call about disturbing comments which Fogle has made about children.
Similar to the response after the incident that happened in 2004, Subway sent a senior public relations manager for asking Fogle about this incident. Fogle later denied all the allegations, and once again, nothing had been done.
McLaughlin got engaged in 2009 and then married in 2010. Subway has never informed McLaughlin about all allegations against him, and she only found out about them after the Federal Bureau of Investigation raided their home on 7th of July 2015.
“Subway made terribly misguided assumption that Jared’s marrying Katie would correct Jared’s pedophilia behavior,” the court says.
McLaughlin also told that Subway used her and her children’s likenesses for animating the television advertisement in 2015 by which Fogle was portrayed as a family man despite their knowledge of his pedophilia. Her current whereabouts are not known but her ex-husband is his jail.
