Karen Khachanov career highlight and achievements
Karen Khachanov will be playing in the final four Down Under for the first time in his career. The 26-year-old has a career high ranking of world no.8, and currently ranks at no.20.
Throughout his career, he has won four ATP Tour singles titles, most particularly the Masters 1000 title back in the 2018 Paris Masters when he managed to defeat Novak Djokovic in the final match. He also managed to win a silver medal at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. During the 2022 US Open, Karen reached his first major semi-final but lost out to Casper Ruud in four sets.
Karen Khachanov’s coaches at the 2023 Australian Open
Karen Khachanov has three coaches – Fredrik Rosengren, Vedran Martic, and Jose Clavet for the 2023 Australian Open.
Frederik Rosengren hails from Sweden and he started his coaching career back in 1998. Besides, Khachanov, he has coached Swedish tennis star Robin Soderling. He also served as the captain for the Sweden Davis Cup from 2012 to 2017.
Vedran Martic is a Croatian national who has previously coached the former Wimbledon champion Goran Ivanisevic from 1996-2000. With Karen, Martic has coached him throughout his four ATP singles titles, including the one at the 2018 Paris Masters.
Jose Clavet on the other hand is Karen’s most recent coach. Prior to Khachanov, Clavet worked with several players including Feliciano Lopez, Alex Corretja, Tommy Robredo and Carlos Moya.

Karen Khachanov wife and relationship history
Karen Khachanov has a wife named Veronica Shkliaeva, whom she married in April 2016. The pair has known each other since they were kids and were childhood sweethearts. Karen first met Veronica at an airport when the duo were still kids.
Since then, they started dating in 2011, and even trained together at the same tennis club back when the two were teenagers. Interestingly, Shkliaeva’s twin sister is the wife of Belarusian tennis player Ilya Ivashka.
Kids
Karen and Veronica together have a son named David, born on 14 September 2019. Karen usually prefers to keeps his family life out of the spotlight, and Veronika isn’t even on social media. However, back when David was born the tennis star posted a photo of his baby. Khachanov also sometimes refers to his son David as Khachanov Jr:
