After Kovac was officially replaced in October, Zaidi didn’t waste any time in attempting to put his philosophy; which he’s fittingly named “The Karate Rebellion,” into practice. Being a longtime martial artist, he puts his teachings into practice.
As per a report in The Sun, Zaidi is adamant that Karate Combat will encourage a surge of individuals to take up the sport again. He feels that by making such a bold standard in the fight, he has now established the bar for promotion until 2024 and beyond.
Asim Zaidi’s father began training him in the martial arts at age 3 and after winning many titles in various martial arts while training with some of the greatest coaches and competing around the world, he decided to pass on his knowledge and become a coach.
Asim Zaidi started the Goat Shed in 2018, which started as an exclusive private team with him being the only coach and for 5 years, the team was bouncing from gym to gym and Asim would teach for free; however, very quickly the Goat Shed became one of the strongest MMA teams in Florida.
