On Tuesday, May 14, 2024, a 21-year-old student of PES University named Karakala Rahul committed suicide in Bangalore.

The victim in the Bangalore suicide case has been identified as Karakala Rahul. He killed himself by jumping from his university’s fifth floor.

Karakala Rahul was a sixth-semester student studying a BTech in computer science at PES University in Southern Bengaluru. He was originally from Kurnool, Andhra Pradesh. His body was reportedly discovered by fellow university students around 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday.

The CTV footage was investigated by authorities but no evidence of foul play was discovered. The authorities are waiting for his family to arrive before continuing their investigation.

Why Karakala Rahul committed suicide?

Final semester examinations were going on at PES University and Rahul failed to show up for the exam on Tuesday.

However, it was claimed that he was denied entry to the examination centre because he arrived late. It is also said that he was barred from participating in the annual campus placements. The investigation into the situation is ongoing, and additional information is expected soon.

2 NEET aspirants went missing

In Kota which is one of India’s largest coaching hotspots, two 19-year-old National Eligibility-cum-Entrance (NEET) applicants went missing in a single week. While the first remains untraceable, the second aspirant, who went missing on May 12, has been located in Kushinagar, Uttar Pradesh, close to the Nepal border.

On the night of May 12, a 19-year-old student from Tarapur, Munger district of Bihar, fled the hostel and went missing. The 19-year-old and his younger brother were studying for competitive exams in Kota. The cops found a note in his PG room stating that he was dissatisfied with his performance in the NEET UG exam.

The authorities took action and enlisted divers to search the Kota barrage for the body, but nothing was discovered. The CCTV footage showed that the child went to the railway station instead of Kota Barrage. The police alerted the GRP and RPF about the situation and shared the student’s information, and the boy was safely detained today by Kushinagar police.
