Justice S.V.N Bhatti is a Graduate of Commerce and Law and enrolled in the Bar Council of Andhra Pradesh on January 21, 1987.
He was born on May 6, 1962, in Madanapalli, Chittoor, Andhra Pradesh. Justice Bhatti earned his bachelor’s degree in law from Jagadguru Renukacharya College, Bangalore.
After successfully completing his law degree, he enrolled with Bar Council of Andhra Pradesh and started his legal practice at the trial court in Madanapalle.
Later, he moved to the High Court of Andhra Pradesh judicature, in Hyderabad.
Reports suggests that from 2000 to 2003, Justice Bhatti worked as a special government pleader in the office of the advocate general at the high court of the State of Andhra.
Career
In 2013, he sworn as an Additional Judge of the Andhra High Court and a year later he was appointed as a Judge of the HC of judicature at Hyderabad for Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.
In 2019, he was transferred to the Kerala High Court and therein, he assumed office as a Judge of the Kerala HC. In April, 2023, Justice Bhatti was appointed as a Acting Chief Justice of the Kerala High Court and two months later, in June , he become the Chief Justice of the Court.

Within just months of assuming the office as a Chief Justice of Kerala High Court, reports started emerging that Justice Bhatti was being considered for elevation to the Supreme Court.
For the unversed, Justice S.V. Bhatti took the oath as a Supreme Court judge on July 14, 2023. Justice Bhatti commands a good reputation and posses competence and integrity, which usually reflect in his legal acumen.
