Julian Francis Edelman is an American wide receiver with the New England Patriots who was born on May 22, 1986, in Redwood City, California, U.S. and spent 12 seasons in the National Football League (NFL). The 37-year-old stands 5 ft 10 in (1.78 m) tall.

He was chosen by the Patriots in the seventh round of the 2009 NFL Draft, after which he switched to wide receiver and return specialist. He was a quarterback for the Kent State Golden Flashes during his collegiate career.
