Red Bull boss Christian Horner has been going through a month-long controversy following charges of โinappropriate behaviourโ towards a female colleague. Amidst this issue, he was recently spotted arguing with Jos Verstappen. According to speculation, Jos Verstappen had a fallout with Horner after supporting team adviser Dr. Helmut Marko. Marko and Horner reportedly had a clash last year.
However, things seemed sorted out by Thursday morning, as Horner had been cleared of any wrongdoings following an internal investigation. Jos arrived the following morning alongside his son Max and manager Raymond Vermeulen and seemingly embraced Horner while speaking to the Red Bull boss in full view of the cameras. Instead, things changed by Saturday night, just a few hours after Verstappen Sr.โs son won his first grand prix of the season. Following the race, Jos spoke out against Horner, stating:
There is tension here while he (Horner) remains in position. The team is in danger of being torn apart. It canโt go on the way it is. It will explode. He is playing the victimโฆ when he is the one causing the problems.โ
When reporters asked whether he was the source of the leak of hundreds of WhatsApp messages, he simply said:
That wouldnโt make sense. Why would I do that when Max is doing so well here?โ
To add more drama to the situation, Jos was recently spotted talking to Mercedes boss Toto Wolff over the weekend. This further sparked a lot of speculation, with fans stating that the pair could have been talking about a possible move to Mercedes, who currently have a seat to fill in for 2025.
