Ami clinched gold by winning all three rounds against Lithuania’d B-girl Nicka, legally known as Dominika Banevič, in the final, on the Friday at the Place de la Concorde stadium.
The exciting competition saw B-girls stunning the crowd with powerful moves like windmills, headspins, and backflips. Fans remained enthusiastic throughout the event, which began in the afternoon and wrapped up just before 10 p.m.
Let us remind you, the quarterfinals narrowed down the original 17 dancers to 8, who then battled in knockout rounds of three rounds each to reach the finals.
Banevič secured the silver medal, while China’s B-girl 671, Liu Qingyi, took bronze medal.

About Ami Yuasa
For the curious, born on December 11, 1998, Ami Yuasa, is a Japanese break-dancer and Olympic gold medalist, who clinched the medal at the Paris Olympics 2024. The Japanese dancer is a member of the Good Foot Crew but the height of the 25 year old isn’t known.
Originally hailing from Saitama Prefecture, Japan, Yuasa graduated from Saitama Prefectural Kawaguchi High School and Komazawa University’s Faculty of Letters, Department of English and American Literature.
Reportedly, Any began learning hip-hop in the first grade, influenced by her older sister Ayu, and started breaking in the fifth grade.
Career
Previously, Ami Yuasa, won numerous prestigious titles, including the B-Girl World Final of Red Bull BC One in Zurich, Switzerland, in April 2018, and the inaugural WDSF World Breaking Championship in Nanjing, China, in 2019.
She continued her winning streak with a victory at the 1st World Urban Championship in Budapest, Hungary, in September 2019.
Although she placed second at the WDSF World Breaking Championship 2021 in Paris, France, Yuasa and her sister Ayu, who finished third, shared the podium together.
In 2022, Yuasa won gold at the World Games in the dancesport competition and claimed her second WDSF World Breaking Championship title in Seoul, South Korea, following her previous win in 2019.
