What led to Jalen Kitna’s arrest?
The son of former NFL quarterback Jon Kitna, Jalen Kitna, has reportedly been held for allegedly possessing materials containing child pornography and child exploitation, according to ESPN. The Gainesville Police Department detained the backup quarterback in Florida, age 19, on Wednesday.
The 19-year-old is currently not participating for Florida since the team has suspended him indefinitely, as many would have predicted.
Kitna, a redshirt freshman for Florida, has played in four games so far this year and has 181 throwing yards and a score to his name. Now that this most recent incident has been publicised, the 19-year-old is probably not going to increase those totals at least not this season.

When the story first surfaced, the University of Florida Athletic Association issued a statement. They declared that they would tolerate the alleged actions in no way.

The declaration said: “When we learned of the news surrounding Jalen Kitna, we were surprised and devastated. The University of Florida and the [University Athletic Association] have zero tolerance for the behaviour in question since these are highly serious accusations.”
According to reports, Kitna allegedly used Discord to share the photographs.
