Instagram influencer Desroches aka Ally D, 26, had filed an initial child support and paternity petition in New York against Edwards on March 13. Anthony Edwards dragged another one of his exes, Alexandria Desroches, to court over paternity and child support while he continues to fight his other ex, Ayesha Howard, over child support.
Amir is the name of Ally D and Edwards’s son, who was born in October 2023 and that same year, he fathered a daughter, Aris Ariel Carlyle, with his ex Daja Carlyle. The two finalized an agreement for custody and support in September 2024.

The Minnesota Timberwolves star, 23 filed a petition on March 21 revealing he is the father to a child with Alexandria and said Alexandria currently lives in New York with the kid. He said the child was conceived and born in Georgia, and “all interactions between [Anthony] and [Alexandra] took place in Georgia” but the two were never married. He admitted he has “engaged in genetic testing, which has shown that he is the father of the minor child” and Anthony asked the court to establish child support and to issue an order establishing him as the legal father.

Anthony Edwards has “admitted to the paternity” of their child, according to Alexandria Desroches, and he has given her son “some monetary support” since his birth in 2023. Through the lawsuit, she hopes to have Edwards “legally determined to be the father of the Child.” Desroches also wants the NBA player to reimburse her for the prenatal and postpartum care she received, as well as for their son’s insurance and daycare costs.
Edwards filed for his own paternity suit in Georgia’s Gwinnett County in March 2025, according to an InTouch Weekly article. It was “dismissed or otherwise terminated” after that, nevertheless. In Georgia’s Fulton County, Edwards pursued a second paternity action. Since she currently resides in New York with their kid, Desroches is asking that the lawsuit be handled there instead.
Desroches said Edwards’ case should not have been filed in Georgia because “the child had not resided in Georgia for at least six consecutive months, and child had been residing in New York for over a year.”
Edwards and his daughter Aubri Summers, whom he shares with Ayesha Howard, are currently embroiled in a legal dispute over child support. In October 2024, the NBA player’s daughter was born.
Anthony Edwards’ career
The early years of Edwards’ life were spent in Oakland City, Atlanta, Georgia. His father gave him the nickname “Ant-Man” when he was three years old. Edwards spent a large portion of his early years playing football as a cornerback, running back, and quarterback.
By the age of ten, he was among the top Pop Warner running backs in the nation while playing youth football with the Atlanta Vikings.
After witnessing his boys play basketball, Edwards “thought it looked more fun” and shifted his attention to the game. At their grandmother’s house, he and his siblings frequently played basketball. He started working with Justin Holland, an Atlanta-based basketball trainer and former Liberty college player, when he started ninth grade.
