While hiking in Australia, a female doctor from Andhra Pradesh died in an accident. Vemuru Ujvala slipped into a waterfall and passed away. On Tuesday, the event occurred while she was walking at Yanbacoochie Falls, located in the Lamington National Park in southeast Queensland, Australia.

According to reports, Ujvala dropped her camera and stumbled down a deep ravine while attempting to get it back. She slipped trying to pick up her camera tripod after dropping it over a precipice. She plummeted into a waterhole after falling twenty meters down a slope. The rescue crew needed six hours to get her body back. Vemuru Venkateshwar Rao and Vemuru Maithili, Ujvala’s parents, had lived in Australia for a while.

Who is Vemuru Ujvala?

Vemuru Ujvala (age 23), a resident of Krishna district who was working as a medical practitioner in Brisbane, passed away following a fall while hiking with friends into a ravine. Family members said that on Saturday, a plane carrying her lifeless remains arrived in Andhra Pradesh. The final ceremonies took place at Unguturu Mandal’s Elukapadu village.

Ujvala originally hails from Krishna district in Andhra Pradesh. She practiced at the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospitals after earning her MBBS from Bond University on the Gold Coast, Australia. Her family noted that although the terrible accident ended her life, she had realized her childhood dream of becoming a doctor and was preparing to pursue it after graduation.

A childhood dream of Ujwala’s was to become a doctor. She was employed at the Royal Brisbane Women’s Hospital at the time of her death and planned to pursue graduate courses in order to advance in her career. Her family was devastated by her untimely death, which dashed her hopes of rising to a prominent position in life.
