She furthermore remarked that the roles of IAS, IPS, IFS and IRS requires “fieldwork long taxing hours and listening firsthand to people’s grievances,” while adding that it “necessitates physical fitness,” while questioning that why does “Premier service need this quota in the first place?”

For the unfamiliar, Smita Sabharwal, is the daughter of a retired Army colonel. She hails from Darjeeling, West Bengal. Though Sabharwal failed her first IAS preliminary exam, however, she ended up succeeding in her second attempt.
