After a 15-year-old kid Harvey Willgoose was fatally stabbed at a Sheffield school, a teenager was taken into custody.

According to South Yorkshire Police, officers were dispatched to All Saints Catholic High School at 12:17 p.m. following complaints of a stabbing.

The 15-year-old youngster Harvey Willgoose was declared deceased after being transported to the hospital with severe injuries.

Speaking outside the force’s headquarters Police Assistant Chief Constable Lindsey Butterfield said: “It is with great sadness that I share with you today, a teenager has died following the stabbing at a Sheffield school earlier today, our thoughts are with the family of the boy, his friends and the whole school community.”

She also mentioned that a 15-year-old child is still being held by the police after being arrested on suspicion of murder but the name of the alleged suspect wasn’t revealed. The suspect continues to remain in custody.

According to South Yorkshire police, teenager Harvey Willgoose, was seriously hurt at the All Saints Catholic High School in Granville Road after he was stabbed on Monday. He passed away shortly after, despite the paramedics’ best attempts.

Harvey Willgoose, aged 15 and a Christian by religion, died after he was stabbed and his sister, Sophie, has used Facebook to pay a heart-wrenching tribute to her younger brother.

She posted: “My heart is broken into a million pieces. I love you so much Harvey.

His mother Caroline Willgoose also shared an emotional post on social media and addressing her 56,000 followers on TikTok, she wrote: “Our Harvey, no words” with heartbroken emojis and a montage of images of them together.

Harvey and his dad were huge Sheffield United fans and people mourning the boy’s death gathered outside Sheffield United’s stadium in Bramall Lane.

This was the second time All Saints Catholic High School where Harvey went had gone into lockdown in a week.

On Monday, just after 12:15 p.m., officers received a call, and emergency personnel, including an air ambulance, were sent to the Granville Road site.

Friends placed balloons, an England flag, and flowers on a wall outside the school.

“The life of the party,” according to one handmade note, Harvey “brought joy and laughter to everyone who knew him.”

“His bubbly personality was contagious, you could always hear him down a corridor,” it read. “I’ll never forget all the torments, all the laughs. You’ll be missed by so many.”

More flowers had been placed outside a local sports club, along with two enormous red balloons in the shape of the number 15 and other balloons shaped like hearts.

On Monday night, police personnel in white forensic suits continued to work into the night, with an ambulance and police cars remained behind the school gates.

Sean Pender, the headteacher, informed parents in a message that two children had been implicated in the incident with one seriously injured and the school being placed into lockdown.

South Yorkshire’s mayor, Oliver Coppard, said: “This morning a teenage boy went to school like thousands of others across South Yorkshire but won’t come home; a young man who was a member of our community, with his whole life ahead of him.”
