Off the court, Jamal’s fans are still of the idea that he is still dating former Kentucky volleyball star Harper Hempel despite the lack of evidence.
Harper Hempel brief bio and age
Harper Hempel is the alleged girlfriend of Jamal Murray who was born on the August 31, 1997. She was born to parents Richard and Colleen Hempel and also has a brother named Conner and is currently 25 years old. Hempel’s father Richard is the co-founder and CEO of eCoachSports. The platform provides online coaching tips and classes and has some of the biggest NBA coaches on their roster. Hempel graduated from the University of Kentucky and possibly met Murray there when he spent a year in Kentucky.

Although much is not known about Harper Hempel, her LinkedIn page states that Hempel has spent the last three and a half years working for Fact & Fiction. Fact & Fiction is a marketing agency based in Boulder, Colorado and Hempel handles influencer and ambassador marketing. Prior to that role, Hempel worked as a social media manager for three years, in the same company.
Hempel also runs her own photography and social media marketing businesses besides her primary job. Before joining the marketing industry, Hempel spent three seasons competing for the University of Kentucky Volleyball team. This is where she gained popularity, and one of her standout moments was her ‘clutch’ match-winning point against LSU back in 2017.

Although the 26-year-old point guard swiftly deleted the video and apologized to his followers, the damage was already done. Jamal stated:
First and foremost I would like to apologize to my fans. My account has been hacked, currently working on the issue. Thanks.”
Reports state that Hempel, who was dating Murray at the time, appealed for the hacker to delete the footage. However, the account, which she used to tweet the plea has since been deactivated.
Things slowly seemed to drift apart between Murray and Harper after this incident. She did not mention him on social media for his birthday and likewise, he has avoided questions about her when interviewed by the media.
