An age 16-year-old boy Harley Barfield was stabbed to death in a parking lot, and a youngster has been charged with his murder
According to the Suffolk Police Department, the incident occurred at the Haverhill parking lot adjacent to Strasbourg Square at around 15:00 GMT on Monday. It was alleged that two adolescent males got into a fight, and the victim was identified as Harley Barfield, a local resident.

The suspect has been remanded in custody until his scheduled Thursday appearance at the Ipswich Magistrates’ Court, according to the police. After being rushed to the emergency room at Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge, Harley was transported to the Royal Papworth Hospital in the same city. The authorities have confirmed that he passed away.

Detectives understand that both parties were known to each other and as such, this is being viewed as an isolated incident with no wider threat to the public,” the force stated. A request for anyone who may have witnessed the incident or have any relevant information to get in touch with police has been issued.

The social media tributes from Harley’s friends and classmates show that he is not forgotten. “Fly high Harley my brother; you didn’t deserve any of this imma miss you bro,” one commented on TikTok.
“End knife crime man,” another urged. “Harley deserves justice.” Harley attended Stour Valley Community School. Rachel Kelly, the principal, expressed the school’s widespread sadness to the Suffolk News.
She expressed her condolences to his family, saying, that he will be greatly missed. He had a knack for leading his classmates. And was looking forward to a future in the building trade after finishing high school.
GoFundMe campaign for Harley Barfield’s family
Harley was an extremely caring and affectionate young man who showed his love for his family and friends. There is now a GoFundMe page set up for Harley.
On Wednesday night, a concerned local set up a GoFundMe to assist the victims. They claimed to have Harley’s parents’ approval despite not knowing them directly. The £6,000 goal was reached in less than 24 hours with £5,055 raised and a top donation of £500.
