According to the FIR, Dhruvi Enterprise, a shell business, used a faked rent agreement to obtain GST registration and used fictitious invoices to conduct phony input tax credit transfers without really providing any products or services.
Registered firms can use input tax credits to offset the GST owed on the goods or services they supply. The research found that 12 “active firms” were receiving the accumulated input tax credit, while several businesses in India were purportedly utilizing the same PAN as Dhruvi Enterprise.
It has been alleged that a network of over 200 dishonest businesses operates all throughout the nation in an attempt to fool the authorities by transferring and claiming fake input tax credits.
DCP (crime) Ajit Rajian told the reporters that although documents connected to Langa’s wife, Kavita, were recovered, she was not named in the FIR because it was determined that she was not involved in the operations.
