Following the police raid on Wednesday, the lavish three-story home in South Delhi’s affluent New Friends Colony area came to be the center of attention for law enforcement. After Jha and her friends fled the residence, the police had to lock down and protect the area.

Who is Ravi Kana?
Ravi Kana who is a Hindu by religion is a notorious Indian gangster. He has been in the news because Noida police confiscated his assets worth more than ₹200 crore in the Delhi-NCR along with the New Friends Colony bungalow he gave to his girlfriend Kajal Jha.
His real name is Ravindra Nagar. He is the brother of Harendra Pradhan, a well-known member of the Greater Noida underworld who was brutally murdered in 2014. After Pradhan was killed, Kana took over as the gang’s leader.
According to Noida Police, members of Ravi Kana gang used to stop the rebar trucks going to various construction sites and get the rebar removed in collusion with the driver and Ravi used to threaten the managers of the sites and show the full weight in the stock book. After this, he used to earn black money by selling the bars at prices higher than the market price.
Noida Police has also registered a case against a 26 year old girl on charges of gangr*pe and in this case, action is being taken against him under the Gangster Act. Action is also being taken against fugitive Ravi Kana’s wife Madhu and in Noida city, a 26-year-old girl has accused 5 people including Ravi Kana of gang rape.
Law enforcement officials have made allegations that Ravi Kana is the leader of a 16-person gang that deals in the illegal sale of scrap metal and rebar.
He was formerly a scrap merchant and is said to have accumulated significant money by leading a criminal organization that extorts businesses in the Delhi-NCR area by buying and selling waste materials illegally.
As reported by NDTV, senior police officer Saad Miya Khan in Greater Noida states that charges varying from theft to kidnapping have been brought against Ravi Kana and his associates.
