Here is all you need to know about young Welsh rugby star Gabriel Holt who dies at 21 along with his cause of death
Tributes are pouring as a 21 year old rising rugby star has suddenly passed away at a very young age.
Gabriel was described as an “exceptional human being,” by the head coach of the Wales student, Craig Fisher. He further stated that he was a champion, a leader, a team player, and above all, a friend to everyone he encountered.”

The coach felt “privileged” training him and knowing him and was aware of Gabriel’s pride in donning the Welsh red and his eagerness to dominate the 2024 Four Nations.

Wigan St Patricks, Gabriel’s club also posted tribute to him. The statement read:
The club are heartbroken to learn of the passing of Gabriel Holt. A current open age player who has progressed through our junior section starting at u13s.
The club further continued:
Gabe was loved throughout the club and especially with his selection for Wales RL students over the last few years.
At last, the club sent condolences to his family and friends stating that Gabriel will “never be forgotten.”

Who was Gabriel Holt?
Gabriel Holt was a young rugby player who played for Wigan St Patricks and the University of Central Lancashire. The 21 year old was also part of student’s squad for Wales Rugby League. He was born and raised in Atherton, Lancashire.
Gabriel, who qualified for the the national side through his family heritage, was selected for the 2019 Four Nations tournament and got three caps for Wales Students last year.
Gabriel began with the Atherton Roosters, a local rugby league team. Before joining the Wigan St Patricks U13 team, he played for Leigh East and Folly Lane. Before going to St John Rigby College, he previously played for Atherton High School.
The £3,000 goal of an online fundraising established to assist Mr. Holt’s family with funeral expenses has already been surpassed. The GoFundMe page’s creator, Dan Harris, claimed to have known the family for more than 11 years. A cause of death hasn’t been revealed yet with him dying suddenly.
