Tragically, Nathan Templeton, a Sunrise reporter, passed away, presumably while out for a dog walk and tributes are pouring as family has expressed their sorrow over his untimely death.
The family, in a statement said:
Our hearts are broken for an adoring father and a wonderful friend, who’ll be missed by many”.

In Geelong, he was allegedly strolling his dog close to the Barwon River, where his body was found on Tuesday afternoon. It is believed that a medical incident claimed the 44-year-old’s life but a cause of death hasn’t been revealed yet.
According to Daily Mail Australia, Templeton had been receiving support while battling long-standing personal problems, including as well as depression.
According to police, as reported by The Sydney Morning Herald, on Tuesday at 2:30 pm, they were summoned to a park in Newtown, Geelong. Templeton was discovered deceased on the spot.

Nathan Templeton was an Australian journalist who was born on May 9, 1979 in Melbourne, Australia. The journalist passed away aged 44 on April 9, 2024 in Geelong, Australia.
Templeton previously worked as the Sunrise breakfast show’s Melbourne correspondent for Seven Network. At the beginning of his career, Templeton was employed by Network Ten, where he often participated in the Breakfast programme and provided stories for 10 News First in Melbourne.
Templeton joined Seven News Melbourne as a sports reporter in June 2012, after moving to the Seven Network. He reported on important sporting events, such as the Australian Open.
At the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo in 2021, and the 2018 Commonwealth Games in the Gold Coast, Templeton conducted poolside interviews for the Seven Network. Teegan Dolling took over as Sunrise Melbourne correspondent in November 2022, replacing Templeton.
Over the course of his more than twelve years with the Seven Network, Templeton had positions in both the sport department and as the breakfast show Sunrise’s Melbourne reporter. But he had been working behind the scenes on the show last year, having not appeared on-air since late 2022.
