Fuad Sharuji, who is former Vice President of Malaysia Airlines, has shared his experience managing the shocking and sudden tragedy of MH370
The Netflix documentary, which is MH370: The Plane That Disappeared shed light on the mysterious disappearance of the Malaysia Airlines flight MH370 in early 2014. This flight vanished during its scheduled journey from Kuala Lumpur to Malaysia.

Fuad Sharuji education and career
Fuad Sharuji started his career with Malaysia Airlines in early 1976 being a Trainee Aircraft Maintenance Engineer, even before finishing his education. Fuad, later on, earned his degree in aircraft maintenance engineering from St Albans College, England in early 1981.
He served with different departments, including Operations, Engineering, and Maintenance. Fuad Sharuji has obtained his Master’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Tun Abdul Razak in Malaysia, in 2005. Fuad was further appointed Senior Manager of the Emergency Management Centre. In early 2009, Malaysia Airlines promoted him as Vice President.
The doomed flight, MH370 had been taken off from Kuala Lumpur on the 8th of March 2014. As the plane approached at the end of Malaysian airspace, everything appeared normal. Before they were handing over the flight to Vietnam’s air traffic control, Malaysian air traffic controllers bid the staff goodnight.
Vietnam staff said, ‘they have never received any notification of that aircraft entering its airspace, and the plane vanished into thin air.’
The Vice President of Malaysia Airlines at the time, Fuad had faced immense pressure to provide answers. Apart from their extensive efforts, not a single piece of evidence of the plane was ever found since then.
Where is Fuad Sharuji now?
Fuad Sharuji served with Malaysia Airlines for around 45 years. However, he then moved to the construction industry and presently serves as General Manager of Impeccable Vintage Properties. Fuad hails from Nilai, Negri Sembilan, Malaysia, and he is happily married.
