Jerome Powell is now expected to speak before the Senate Banking Committee on Tuesday morning and House Financial Services Committee on Wednesday.
He will be questioned by lawmakers on whether the central bank is capable doing defusing inflation without crashing the US economy. It is likely that the Federal Reserve will be raising the interest rates higher than it has been predicted.

Jerome Powell got married to Elissa Leonard in early 1985 at Episcopal Washington National Cathedral. They together have three children namely Lucy, Sam, and Susie and she is a Christian by religion.
She was born in 1957 and is aged 65.
Leonard’s father, who is George Hill Leonard hails from Rockville, Maryland, and was an accomplished heart disease control administrator for Public Health Service which is based in Washington D.C. She completed her schooling at Montgomery County School and she further received her bachelor’s degree in 1979 from Harvard University.
Elissa Leonard has a joint major in the subject of visual and environmental studies and government.
She used to work as a producer/writer for WNET-TV Channel 13 for an outlet’s “INNOVATION” series, which ran from 1984 through 2004. It has aired on PBS and topics covered in the series have ranged from science to health and technology.
The “INNOVATION” received several honors and was also awarded which include two from the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences.
Leonard has also worked as a senior story editor for National Geographic Channel’s TV Explorer series. Elissa Leonard was a producer at The Educational Film Center’s Powerhouse and Give and Take series. Leonard is an executive producer of Bruce Beresford’s Ladies in the Black and was the executive producer of Sally Pacholok.
It won a total of 11 awards on Television, the Internet, and a Video Association of the Washington D.C.’s Peer Awards, with Elissa Leonard winning silver awards for independent feature and directing.
