A 23-year-old French YouTuber, Olympe, is making headlines after her recent video talking about euthanasia became the subject of criticism by health professionals in Belgium
For those who are unversed, let us tell you, the French YouTuber recently met with a doctor who reportedly complained about how the country is not a “euthanasia dispenser.”
In her recent YouTube video, Olympe, claims that she is suffering from a dissociative identity disorder as well as ADHD aka attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder.

She furthermore opened up with her followers that she was in Belgium and had contacted a Belgian doctor to be euthanized.
For those who are wondering, let us clear, although euthanasia or assisted suicide is legal in Belgium.
As per a report by New York Post, one of the doctors with whom the YouTuber consulted told her that it could take months or years for a person to have access with the medical procedure for assisted suicides.
The outlet further noted that, Dr, Yves de Locht, who has been practicing the process of Assisted suicides for more than a decade told the social media influencer that Olympe “may need to be hospitalized,” before saying that it will be “a very long and difficult process.”
Let us remind you, Belgium legalized euthanasia back in 2002, after witnessing a number of yearly cases with an average of thousands.
As per the official statistics, in 2015, the nation had exceeded 2000 cases per year. Doctor Locht in an earlier media conversation told the DailyMail that, the nation, contrary to popular opinion, was not the “death ward” for France that criminalizes assisted suicides.
He furthermore added that, “I haven’t seen her medical dossier but I’ve read her emails. She wants to meet me.
