This summer, Arsenal and Bayern Munich are reportedly vying for the signing of Martin Zubimendi, a midfielder for Real Sociedad, according to German media.

According to the podcast, Zubimendi and Mikel Arteta have already had discussions, and the midfield player is open to joining Arsenal.

Who is Martin Zubimendi?
Martín Zubimendi Ibanez is a Spanish professional football player who was born on February 2, 1999 in San Sebastián, Spain. The 24-year-old stands 1.81 m (5 ft 11 in) tall. He plays defensive midfield for La Liga club Real Sociedad and the Spain national team.
A look at Martin Zubimendi’s career
Zubimendi, who was 12 years old when he joined Real Sociedad’s youth system in 2011, was born in San Sebastián, Gipuzkoa, Basque Country. Additionally, from 2006 to 2013, he represented Antiguoko in the Donosti Cup.
On August 27, 2016, he earned his Real Sociedad C senior debut by playing the final seven minutes of a 0-0 Tercera Division home draw against SCD Durango. Zubimendi was promoted to Segunda División B’s reserves and had his contract extended until 2022 on July 25, 2018.
In a 2-1 victory over Getafe CF at home on April 28, he made his debut for both his first team and La Liga after substituting late for Rubén Pardo. He was officially promoted to the senior squad on July 24, 2020, when he extended his contract with the Txuri-urdin until 2025. He extended his deal with the team through 2027 in October.
