Isabel Martin’s volleyball career took an unexpected turn when she started playing at Florida’s Hillsborough Community College.
According as per her bio on FloridaGators.com, her skill enabled her to guide the Lady Hawks to 41 victories total, including 32 during a 32-10 season in 2019 that saw the team place sixth at the National Junior College Athletic Association DI Championships.
After the 2020–21 season, Isabel Martin got on to get NJCAA All-Region VIII and DI Florida College System Activities Association Athletics (FCSAA) All-State recognition. From 2021 until 2023, Martin would bring her skills to UNLV.
Her 2021 stats were eight service aces, 126 kills, a.314 hitting %, and 144 overall points. Isabel Martin won MW Player of the Year, AVCA Pacific South All-Region, AVCA Pacific South Honourable Mention, All-MW First Team, and MW Offensive Player of the Week twice the following year. Martin, the Florida Gators’ redshirt senior, has started all 20 games this season as the team’s outside hitter and has finished with ten or more kills. This season, Martin led Florida in kills five times, points five times, aces four times, and blocking once.

Kennedy Martin, a sophomore All-American, set a new record with 31 kills, matching only Aury Cruz, a four-time AVCA All-American and three-time SEC Player of the Year. Her previous record of 31 kills was set against Nebraska on December 8, 2001, during Florida’s five-set Final Four match.
The Gators defeated Tennessee in four sets in Gainesville and have now won three straight games. It was a race to 25 in the first set. Florida comes back to equalize the score at 20 after Tennessee takes a 19–14 lead. After exchanging final scores, Tennessee’s successful challenge put the score at 24–22.
