Yomif Kejelcha Atomsa who is a Christian by religion is an Ethiopian distance runner who was born on August 1, 1997, in Ethiopia. He is currently 27 years old and holds the world record in the short track mile as well as the half marathon. Kejelcha recently made headlines for his remarkable performance at the 2024 Valencia Half Marathon, where he won the menโs elite race and also set a new world record with a time of 57:30. Kejelcha broke the previous record set by Jacob Kiplimo, who is a four-time World Cross Country champion, as well as an Olympic and World Championships bronze medalist. Jacob set the record in 2021 at the EDP Meia Maratona de Lisboa.

He then won the 2015 African Junior Championships (14:31.03) in the 5000m event.
