Anush Agarwalla, riding Etro, took the lead with a superb score of 71.088. Following closely was Hriday Chheda, exhibiting prowess on Chemxpro Emerald, securing a notable score of 69.941.
Divyakriti Singh partnered with her horse, Adrenalin Firfod, and earned accolades with a score of 68.176. Sudipti Hajela, riding alongside her horse Chinski, made a substantial contribution with a score of 66.706.
India’s team total, which was determined by adding the top three scores together, was an amazing 209.205. Who is Anush Agarwalla?
Anush Agarwalla is an Indian equestrian. He has been in the news because he was part of an equestrian team that recently won the gold medal in the Asian Games 2023.
He was born on 23 November 1999 in Kolkata, India. He relocated to Germany at the age of 17 to train with Olympian Hubertus Schmidt to achieve his ambition of becoming a competitive dressage rider.
He is currently 23 years old.

Anush Agarwalla and his horse Etro scored the highest among the Indian riders with 71.088 points, followed by Hriday Vipul Chheda-Emerald with 69.941 points and Divyakriti Singh-Adrenalin Firdod with 68.176 points and the Indian team finished with a total of 209.205 points, well ahead of China’s 204.882 points and Hong Kong’s 204.852 points.
An elder brother to two sisters Avni and Aanya, Anush has inspired them and made them proud too. His mother is named Priti but the name of his father isn’t known.
His career
Anush Agarwalla began his career in the world of dressage later than is typical given the scope of the sport, but he persisted in following his goals and aspirations. Notwithstanding the difficulties, he and Shruti Vora made history in 2022 by being the first Indian dressage riders to compete at the Dressage World Championships.
One year later, Agarwalla and his committed team successfully turned their tireless efforts and unflinching dedication into a resounding win. Agarwalla’s squad succeeded with a spectacular 209.205 points, surpassing the host nation, China, who received 204.882 points, and securing the desired first place on the podium in Hangzhou.
