A 26-year-old dentist, Dr. Sumedha Sharma was brutally killed by a male friend on the outskirts of the city of Janipur in Jammu and Kashmir.

But before stabbing himself, the suspect wrote on Facebook that he was killing himself because he was tired of his life. Someone in his family saw the post and told the Janipur Police what was going on. When the police got there, the main gate of the house was locked from the inside.
When the police broke into the house, they found the suspect in a very bad way. He had been stabbed in the stomach. The body of Dr. Sumedha Sharma was also nearby. Also reports say that the woman was on the floor in a pool of blood and had been stabbed in the stomach.
The accused was then taken to the Government Medical College and Hospital in Jammu, where he is still getting treatment. His health is said to be very bad. The body of the Sumedha Sharma, on the other hand, was given to her family after all the medical and legal procedures were done.
The police started their investigation after filing a FIR under section 302 (murder) of the Indian Penal Code. The first thing the police looked into was whether or not Dr. Sumedha and Ganai were dating. Both of them got their BDS degrees from Dental College Seohra in Jammu. Dr. Sumedha was working on her MDS in Delhi.

The police also said that the girl had gone straight to the accused’s house when she got off work for Holi. There, she and the accused got into an argument about something, and in a fit of rage, the accused killed Dr. Sumedha with a butcher knife and then tried to kill himself by stabbing himself there.
The accused, Johar Ganai, son of Mehmood Ganai, lives in Bhaderwah. Dr. Sumedha is the daughter of Kamal Kishore Sharma, who lives in Talab Tillo (Jammu). At the moment, he lives in Janipur, Jammu, in the Pamposh Colony. Ganai has been charged with murder under section 302 of the Indian Penal Code. There are inquiries going on.
