Dinesh Pratap Singh career

In the 2019 elections, Dinesh Pratap Singh ran against Sonia Gandhi in Raebareli. He lost by nearly 1.6 lakh votes but managed to secure 38 percent of the total votes, which is the highest percentage any BJP candidate has ever received in the history of Raebareli. He has also been elected to the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Council three times in 2010, 2016, and 2022.

The deadline for filing nominations in the Raebareli constituency is May 3, and the Congress party has not yet announced its candidate for this significant seat. Raebareli is politically significant as it has been a traditional stronghold of the Congress party since 1960, with notable figures like Feroze Gandhi and Indira Gandhi having represented the constituency previously.
