Renowned radio show host David “Ace” Cannon reportedly passed away on Tuesday, February 4, 2025. HITS 96.1 radio, an iHeartMedia station, confirmed the tragic news of their former employee. The station stated the deceased was:

David hails from the Lake Norman area in Charlotte, North Carolina. Following his death, he leaves behind his wife Amanda and their two sons, Cade and Dax. David had a daughter named Payton, who passed away in a tragic car accident back in 2020.
Wife and marriage
Throughout his life, David “Ace” Cannon married twice. He first tied the knot with ex-wife Shonnette, whom he eventually divorced. David then married his second wife, Amanda Cannon, who was 24 years younger than him.
According to reports, David and Amanda first met during the summer of 2017. The pair eventually got closer to one another before making the decision to tie the knot in January 2021. David tied the knot despite previously making a pledge not to marry again after his divorce from Shonnette.
Cannon is survived by his estranged wife Amanda and their one-year-old son Dax along with a son from a previous marriage, Cade and from his previous marriage to a woman named Shonnette, he also had a daughter named Payton who died in 2020 in a car accident at the age of 20.
Amanda is a personal trainer from Moresville, North Carolina and the pair met in the summer of 2017 after Amanda’s wedding to her college sweetheart was called off.
In February 2020, Ace proposed to Amanda in a restaurant outside Brooklyn Bridge, New York City, after playing a song he had written to her and she was 24 years his junior and the couple tied the knot in 2021.
