Dave Free is in the limelight after Drake made serious accusations against Whitney Alford
In a new track titled “Family Matters,” Canadian rapper Drake made serious accusations against Kendrick Lamar’s fiancée, Whitney Alford. Drake made hints in the record that one of his two children does not have Lamar as their biological father.
Drake asserted that David Isaac Friley aka Dave Free is the parent of one of his kids and that Whitney Alford, his to be wife cheated on Kendrick with Dave. This has intensified the already ongoing conflict.

David Isaac Friley aka Dave Free was born on November 13, 1986 Inglewood, California. He is the son of a couple from Chicago’s North and South Sides. Out of their three children, he is the youngest. He completed his primary education in California.

Dave Free career and tracks
Rapper Kendrick Lamar first met Friley when they were both in high school and then they became best friends. He assisted Lamar in starting his rap career while working as a computer technician after graduating.
Using his position, he presented Lamar’s music to Anthony ‘Top Dawg’ Tiffith, the CEO and founder of Top Dawg Entertainment (TDE), an independent record label. As a result, in 2005, Lamar signed a recording contract with the label.
Not long after Lamar made a record deal with TDE, Free became an internal producer for the company. Along with Sounwave, Willie B, and Tae Beast, he joined the hip-hop production trio Digi+Phonics. He also contributed a great deal of labour to projects for the supergroup Black Hippy, which consists of Kendrick Lamar, Jay Rock, Schoolboy Q, and Ab-Soul.
Critics praised their production work, and in November 2012, Complex listed Digi+Phonics as one of the top 25 up-and-coming producers to watch out for. In July 2013, they were listed by BET as one of the top ten up-and-coming young producers.
He was appointed co-president of the label in 2007 with Terrence “Punch” Henderson. Later on in his career, Free took on the role of manager for Kendrick Lamar and collaborated on a number of his studio albums and associated music videos with the group The Little Homies. The pair won the MTV Video Music Awards for Best Hip Hop Video and Video of the Year, as well as the Grammy Award for Best Music Video.
Rolling Stone revealed on October 4, 2019, that Free was no longer employed by TDE and was doing freelance work. Additionally, he was supporting rapper Baby Keem, who was beginning to achieve notoriety and had declared that he planned to “get heavy into the film game.”
Free and Lamar established PGLang, a “multi-lingual” creative firm, on March 5, 2020. Free has penned and directed a number of music videos and commercial campaigns for companies including CK through the company.
