Daniel Rigge started out in the Manchester City academy before eventually deciding to join West Ham. Daniel turned down two La Liga teams and four Premier League clubs to play for West Ham despite heavy interest. The then 16-year-old signed a three-year contract with the Hammers. Premier rivals Wolves, Leicester City and Liverpool were all interested with Liverpool’s youth team even offering a trial.
During his debut campaign under-18, Daniel made 24 appearances across all competitions and scored two goals against two clubs, Brighton & Hove Albion and Tottenham Hotspur. Moreover, he has helped his side win both the FA Youth Cup and the U18 Premier League South section trophy. So far this season Daniel has sore three goals in four matches in the Under-18s Premier League. His most notable goal came on Saturday, 30 September, during a 2-0 victory over Norwich Under-18s.
