Sean Anthony Abbott is an Australian professional cricketer who was born on February 29, 1992, in Windsor, New South Wales, Australia. He was born to Nathan Abbott and Georgina Abbott. Sean has so far represented his country internationally in white-ball cricket. He currently plays for Surrey County Cricket Club in domestic cricket.

Abbott started out playing junior cricket for the Baulkham Hills Cricket Club. He eventually progressed to play grade cricket for Parramatta District and now currently represents New South Wales in the domestic circuit. Notably, he has also played for several Indian Premier League (IPL) teams in the past, including Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH).

Ever since making his national team debut in the ODI and T20Is in 2014, Sean Abbott has been a regular. Sean also played franchise cricket in England for the Manchester Originals in The Hundred. Up until now, Abbott has taken 20 wickets in 17 ODIs for Australia. He has also registered 13 scalps across 12 T20Is.
