Adrian Holdstock, born on 27 April 1970 in Cape Town, South Africa, is known as a former cricketer and a current international cricket umpire serving on the ICC Elite Panel. While he is aged 55, his height isn’t known. He played domestic cricket for Western Province from 1989 to 1993 and then for Boland until 1995. Following his playing career, Holdstock transitioned to umpiring, making his List A umpiring debut in 2006 and his first-class umpiring debut in 2007.

He officiated his first international Twenty20 match in 2011 and stood in three One Day International games in 2013. In 2020, he was appointed as one of the umpires for the Under-19 Cricket World Cup held in South Africa. Later that year, he officiated his first Test match between South Africa and Sri Lanka. Holdstock was also selected as a match official for the 2021 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup.

In March 2023, Holdstock was promoted to the ICC Elite Panel of Umpires, joining the ranks after Aleem Dar’s departure. He was among the sixteen match officials named for the 2023 Cricket World Cup. Throughout his umpiring career, Holdstock has officiated 16 Test matches, 62 ODIs, and 55 T20Is as of 2025. He bats right-handed and bowls right-arm medium pace, with a first-class playing record that includes 16 matches, 573 runs with an average of 20.46, and 19 wickets at a bowling average of 33.78.
