Sadly, at the early age of 30, Quinn Kesler, a name associated with brilliance, perseverance, and unflinching devotion to the rodeo sport, has passed away.

His wife Jessie Hodson Kesler confirmed the unfortunate news in a heartfelt Facebook post, shocking friends, family, and fans alike. She wrote:
It is with great sadness that I have to inform you that my best friend Quinn has been called back by our Heavenly Father this morning. I just wanted to say thank you to everyone for all your love and support. Quincy and I are comforted by our friends and family.”
Who was Quinn Kesler?
Quinn Kesler was a switcher in the exclusive NFR leadership group of ten guys. He was born and reared in Holden, a tiny town south of Salt Lake City, Kesler is a native of the state. From an early age, Kesler knew he wanted to be a cowboy leaving his legacy too early at just 30.
His cause of death isn’t known yet.

He was a three-time National Finals Rodeo qualifying team roper. With many PRCA Wilderness Circuit victories on both ends, Kesler earned $600,829 during his PRCA career. Among the many other important career victories are the Silver State Stampede in Elko, Nevada; the Magic Valley Stampede in Filer, Idaho; the Snake River Stampede in Nampa, Idaho; and the National Western Stock Show and Rodeo in Denver.

In 2016, he won Rounds 3 and 7 to secure his top qualifying position alongside two-time World Champion Matt Sherwood. In the 2018 Finals, Kesler heeled for Rhen Richard, and their average finish was sixth.
Renowned in the world of rodeo, Kesler cemented his reputation as a competitor and a symbol of the cowboy way of life.
In 2019, Kesler moved to the head side, and he took over at the NFR replacing Joseph Harrison in 2021.
