As the nation waited in eager expectation to learn who of the Top 5 finalists would be named the winner, Rajat Sood of Delhi received the coveted trophy of India’s Laughter Champion. A 25 lakh rupee check was presented to him.
Due to the close race between Jayvijay Sachan and Vighnesh Pande, who were both from Mumbai, the two were tallied as the second runners-up, with Nitesh Shetty from Mumbai being named the first runner-up.

Who Is Rajat Sood?
Rajat Sood is a well-known stand-up comedian, host, songwriter, and vlogger from India. He has recently been in the news because he won the coveted trophy of India’s Laughter Champion and a Rs. 25 lakh check.
Lots of people also called him RS. He was born on November 10, 1996, in Delhi, India. He was brought up in a middle-class family.
He initially did his schooling at Shri Guru Nanak Public School. Later, he shifted to Titiksha Public School. Later, he went on to attend Delhi College of Engineering. In 2019, he got his B.Tech degree there.
He is unmarried. His height is 170 cm or 5 ft 7 inches. He is currently 25 years old.
His Career
Rajat Sood became interested in poetry during his time in college, which encouraged him to start composing poetry and presenting it in various venues.
He started working as an event executive with Clock Work Events in March 2016, where he oversaw indoor and outdoor auditions for the seventh season of the Indian reality TV talent competition “India’s Got Talent.” He began his position as the head of hospitality at Engifest DTU in New Delhi in January 2018.
Additionally, he has emceed a number of events and concerts, including the concert for Mankirt Aulakh and two Viral fever live shows. He then served as the lead event planner for The Paralympics Sports Meet 2018 after that.
At several prestigious colleges, he has also performed the solo stand-up comedy act “Khayaalbaaz,” which combines humor and poetry. Within a short period of time, the show gains popularity. He made it to the finals of India’s first-ever poetry TV competition, “Sau Karod Ka Kavi,” in 2021.
At Full Power Entertainment, he has worked on songs including “The 21st Century Song” and “The Pehla Nasha Parody” as a writer, rapper, and creative director. He started working as a creative director at Stars n Stripes Media Pvt Ltd in November 2021.
He also has a popular YouTube channel with tons of subscribers. He took home the title of India’s Laughter Champion on Sony TV in 2022.
