Grayson Murray passed away on Friday after withdrawing from the 2024 Charles Schwab Challenge during the second round due to illness. He is survived by his parents and fiancé Christiana Ritchie.

Golfer Grayson Murray was engaged to Christiana Ritchie. In 2021, the couple met at the American Express tournament in Palm Springs. They tried to keep their personal lives as secret as they could. Grayson and Christina jointly relocated to Jupiter, Florida.
Grayson asked Christiana to marry him in December 2023 at a country club in Nashville, Tennessee.
“Easiest decision of my life,” Grayson posted on Instagram.
Christiana Ritchie and Grayson Murray did not have any children together. Their wedding was scheduled during the spring of 2024.
The couple resided together in Jupiter, Florida and their wedding was planned for the spring of 2024 in Pinehurst, North Carolina, near Murray’s childhood home. Not much is known about Christiana , but she shared Murray’s passion for golf and is devoted to her faith.

But when he won three times on the Korn Ferry Tour and twice on the PGA Tour (the 2017 Barbasol Championship and the 2024 Sony Open in Hawaii), his consistency was evident.
It appeared as Murray had turned the corner when he won the Sony Open, having struggled with anxiety, depression, and alcoholism during his brief professional career. He claimed to have been sober since the beginning of 2023 in January. He also disclosed that when he initially started travelling after graduating from college, he was unprepared for life as a professional.
Murray talked about his faith in his fiancé Christiana Ritchie who has been around him during his recovery.
“It took me a long time to get to this point,” he said. “… I’m a different man now. I would not be in this position right now today if I didn’t put that drink down eight months ago.”
