Jade Tristen Benning was a young pastry chef from Nashville who was killed by her partner Blaise Taylor.
On March 6, 2023, Jade Benning, 25, passed away at Vanderbilt University Medical Centre, according to a Metro Police report. The suspect, Blaise Taylor, 27, called 911 on the evening of February 25 and mentioned that she seemed to be experiencing an allergic reaction.

Following the incident, Taylor relocated to Utah. He is now charged with secretly poisoning Benning and her unborn child on the evening of February 25 while she was at her Lebanon Pike flat.

Jade Tristen Benning was born in Little Rock, Arkansas in 1998. She was a student at Little Rock Central High School where her enthusiasm for cheering matched her scholastic prowess. Jade’s commitment to the sport began at the age of 7, and she eventually rose to the position of captain for both the varsity and junior varsity teams.

After graduating from Brightwater Culinary Arts in 2020, Jade pursued her love for cooking. She began her career at Mirabellas Table as the head pastry chef before moving on to Earnest Bar & Hideaway as a chef.
Jade’s colourful personality made a lasting impression on everyone she came into contact with. Beyond her culinary pursuits, Jade enjoyed the simple things in life. She loved to travel, enjoyed her passion for music, tattoos, and Netflix shows, but most of all, she loved spending time with her large family and network of friends. Jade’s zest for life and appreciation for the little things served as an inspiration to those around her.

Tragically, the life of Jade Tristen Benning was cut short on March 6, 2023, leaving behind a legacy of warmth and passion. Her paternal grandfather Joe Browning and maternal grandmother Susan Benning passed away before her. Jade’s memorial service took place on March 25, 2023. It will honour her memory with love and cherished memories.
