Cameron Walsh and his dad, Dave, lost their lives in a horrifying crash when their car veered into a canal. The incident occurred around 1:30 pm on Saturday in Tetney Lock, Lincolnshire.

Emergency services rushed to the scene, where both the 16-year-old youth player and the 40-year-old man were pronounced dead.
Identified locally as Grimsby Town youth player Cameron and his father Dave, their next of kin have been notified. The football club expressed deep sorrow, stating that Cameron was a beloved member of their youth team, known for his passion and undeniable talent.
The club extended heartfelt condolences to the grieving family and urged the community to remember Cameron and Dave.
The statement of the Club reads, “It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that Grimsby Town Football Club announces the untimely passing of one of our cherished youth team members, Cameron Walsh, aged 16, and his father Dave.”
They further added, “The tragic incident occurred on Saturday, 6th January. Cameron Walsh was an integral part of the GTFC academy. His passion for the game, coupled with his undeniable talent, made him a much-loved figure among team-mates, coaches, and the entire Grimsby Town family.”
