Philadelphia authorities have launched a manhunt for Brian Amerman, a 19-year-old suspect believed to be involved in a string of violent crimes throughout the city
The search for Amerman has intensified after his alleged involvement in a shooting incident targeting a man who was using an ATM. Alongside this incident, the suspect is also connected to several other shootings and robberies that have taken place in Philadelphia over the course of several days.

According to investigators, 19 year old Brian Amerman is wanted for a probation violation stemming from charges of simple assault, reckless endangerment of another person, and resisting arrest. It is believed that Amerman’s actions are a direct violation of his probation terms. Law enforcement agencies are urging the public to assist in locating and apprehending the suspect.

The first incident in which Amerman is a person of interest occurred on May 21 at approximately 12:51 p.m. Police responded to a report of a person with a gun in the 2800 block of Amber Street. Upon arrival, they discovered a 22-year-old man suffering from two gunshot wounds to the left leg. The victim was immediately rushed to the hospital and is currently listed in critical condition.
Victim attacked and vehicle stolen in a brazen robbery
Another incident involving Brian Amerman took place on May 17 at around 12:05 a.m. Authorities received a report of a robbery in the 6500 block of Roosevelt Boulevard. A 43-year-old man informed the police that he was approached by a gunman who demanded money. When the victim refused to comply, the suspect struck him on the head with a firearm and proceeded to steal money and his vehicle. The stolen vehicle was later recovered by the police on the 1900 block of East Sedgley Street at 11:17 a.m. on the same day.
On the same day, May 17, at approximately 9:02 p.m., police responded to another incident involving Brian Amerman. Also they received a report of a person with a gun in the 6500 block of Roosevelt Boulevard. Upon arrival, they found a 53-year-old man with gunshot wounds to the chest and leg. The victim, who resides a few blocks away from the crime scene, was discovered near a stand-alone ATM in a plaza parking lot. He was immediately transported to the hospital in critical condition.
Teenager injured in Amber street shooting, Man robbed at gunpoint
Earlier, on May 14, at around 4:54 p.m., authorities responded to gunshots reported in the 2800 block of Amber Street. They discovered a 17-year-old boy with three gunshot wounds to his leg. The victim was promptly taken to the hospital and is currently listed in stable condition.
Lastly, on May 12, at approximately 12:50 a.m., a 21-year-old man was robbed while attempting to deposit money at an ATM in the 6500 block of Roosevelt Boulevard. Also the victim was approached by two gunmen, one of whom struck him on the head with a firearm. The suspects proceeded to steal money and the victim’s Nissan Murano. Fortunately, on May 22, the stolen vehicle was recovered by the police.
Authorities have established a clear connection between Brian Amerman and these incidents, and are actively pursuing his arrest. They urge anyone with information regarding Amerman’s whereabouts or any details that may assist in the investigation to come forward.
