Ben Doak bio
Ben Gannon Doak is a Scottish professional footballer who was born on 11 November 2005, in Dalry, United Kingdom. He currently plays as a winger for Premier League club Liverpool. Despite being just a teenager, Doak has already played for the first team at both Celtic and Liverpool. Moreover he has also represented Scotland at the Under-21 level. Prior to joining Liverpool, Doak was already a rising star back in Scotland, and a transfer target for several clubs. Many fans and experts have labeled Doak as the next Mo Salah.
He has made an instant impact following his £600,000 move from Celtic in the summer, scoring nine goals and laying on seven assists in 15 games for the academy. He has signed a new contract with Liverpool with Doak having become eligible for a professional deal upon turning 17.
Players under the age of 17 are only permitted to sign scholarship terms, but Liverpool were eager to tie down their No. 50 and the deal is believed to run for three years, taking him to 2026, which is the longest possible time for a first professional contract.

Ben Doak playing style
Notably, Doak’s ability to run with the ball and beat past players is his most standout attribute. He is a right-footed player who prefers to play on the right side of the field and usually cuts on the outside to get to the byline or penalty area while going past defenders. Aside from his pace, Doak also possesses intelligence and great passing skills. As a winger, Ben Doak can deliver dangerous crosses from the flanks and also makes brilliant well-timed runs behind the opposition’s line. This helps him beat offside traps, and coupled with good finishing skills makes him an effective forward.
Ben Doak similar players
As a fast-paced winger, Ben Doak is very similar to Liverpool teammates Luis Diaz and Mohammed Salah. He has the same first touch and excellent dribbling skills with an eye for the goal like Diaz and Salah. Moreover, just like Salah, Doak is very mobile and hard-working as well as very tactical with good technique. His pace and flair on the ball help him beat opponents with ease and help create scoring opportunities for himself or his teammates.
