The fact series is based on real incidents from the life of a well-known American evangelical family and their alleged sex scandal that allegedly erupted in 2020.
The scandal began when Becki Falwell, the wife of Evangelical activist and former Liberty University President Jerry Falwell Jr, acknowledged having an affair with a Miami pool boy in 2012. The scandal sets the series of incidents in Becki’s as well as her family member’s life.

Who Is Becki Falwell?
Becki Falwell is an American woman who is well-known for being the wife of renowned Evangelical leader and former Liberty University President Jerry Falwell Jr. She has been in the news because of the newly-released Hulu documentary named “God Forbid: The Sex Scandal That Brought Down a Dynasty,” which is based on the sex scandal in which she was involved.
She was born in 1974 in the US. She also attended Liberty.
When Becki Falwell was 13 years old, she first met Jerry Jr. According to Vanity Fair, Jerry and Becki’s sister were friends and went on their first date when he was 23 and she was an 18-year-old college freshman.
She left Liberty after falling in love and started working as a waiter. Jerry graduated from the University of Virginia’s law school, and the two subsequently got hitched.
During her two decades as a stay-at-home mother, Becki also got active in other conservative initiatives. She talked with Jerry at the 2019 Conservative Political Action Conference and formerly participated on the Women for Trump advisory board.
They have three children together and their names are Jerry Falwell III (Trey), Caroline Grace, and Charles Wesley.

Currently, Becki Falwell appears to be enjoying a peaceful life in Lynchburg as a mother and grandmother. Jerry has uploaded various pictures from their farm and lake property, however, it does include a profile shot of her and him.
