A look at Alissa Pili’s career

Pili’s first love was football, which she played from the third to the ninth grade. Her career as a wrestler didn’t last long; she started in the sixth grade. She used to wrestle boys.

At eight years old, she began playing organised basketball. She played football as a lineman from third to eighth grade, being the only girl in her league. She was an athlete at Anchorage’s Dimond High School.

Pili was the starting forward for USC when she started her freshman year. In a 66–60 victory over Washington State on February 23, 2020, she scored a career-high 32 points and pulled down 12 rebounds.

Pili was voted Pac-12 Freshman of the Year when he made the All-Pac-12 Team and averaged 16.3 points and eight rebounds per game as a rookie. She averaged 7.8 points and 4.5 rebounds per game in her junior year before using the transfer portal. She moved to Utah to play her fourth season.
